One evening in the wash bay: a triple-deck hog trailer, top deck to ramp.

The job

A Thursday evening in June, in a steel wash bay. The trailer came in with the loading ramp still bedded with shavings and manure. By the end of the evening the ramp was down to its grit treads and every deck was rinsed.

How we wash a trailer: once it’s scraped out, it gets a soak to loosen what’s left. Then we wash from the top deck down to the ramp, so the dirt runs down and out. We check every deck before we pack up.
