How to clean a grain dryer, and why fines start fires
Clean the dryer once it’s cold and locked out: get the fines, chaff and red dog out of the columns, screens and plenum, then wash down where water helps, keeping it off the controls and the burner covered. OMAFA calls regular wash-down and clean-up the most effective way to limit dust build-up.

How to clean barn fans, shutters and cool-cell pads
Clean fan shutters, blades and guards at every turnover, or every one to three months, with the power locked out. Rinse cool-cell pads gently at low pressure, never with a pressure washer, with the water off at least 30 minutes ahead.
